Stepping On Falls Prevention
December 8, 2022 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until December 8, 2022
Have you experienced a slip, trip, or fall that has shaken your confidence or left you with the fear of falling, or worse yet, resulted in injury? You understand that a treat of a fall is often a “game changer” and can be a barrier to doing activities you enjoy at home and in your community. This fall prevention course provides opportunities to increase awareness to reduce your risk of falling. Community experts (physical therapists vision experts, public safety officers and pharmacists) share tips for what you can do to stay on your feet. This interactive workshop can reduce your risk of falling. Join us as we increase your strength and balance, and evaluate home hazards and medication management to live well at home in your community. This is a seven-week series produced by the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging Curriculum. This is a Live only event.
Facilitators: Serina McEntire and Tanya Taylor
Date: Thursdays, October 20 – December 8 (No class 11/24) Time: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
*RSVP Events are FREE, so they will not appear in your shopping cart. You are automatically registered.
